JustPhysio has a great opportunity for a senior physiotherapist to work in a long term neuro rehab unit based in Hertfordshire The home provides residential care for patients with neurological conditions who require rehabilitation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to make a difference developing the services and be a part of an expanding service.
Our client is a care home that sipports people living with acquired brain injuries and older adults who require the reassurance of a calm, patient nursing team on hand at all times.
You will be required to provide a high standard of specialist assessment and treatment of the service users who may have complex presentations and challenging behaviour.
You will be required -
To identify and maximise movement potential through health promotion, preventitive healthcare , treatment and rehabilitation.
To be professionally and responible for own practice and accountable for all aspects of Physio treatment .
To provide therapeutic care and treatment to the residents in the home/centre and their families.
To provide specialist advice to other health professionals as necessary.
To be responsible for managing a designated caseload with supervision from senior staff, as required.
To be responsible for reqssessment of patients and to modify/alter treatment programmes, as appropriate.
To provide written assessment and progree reports, as required for the involved multididsiplinary professionals.
To work closely with medical staff and all ancillary staff to promote good and efficient care.
To undertake practival and theoretical teaching sessions , as required with other disciplines , which will assist with the patients' programme and ensure that physiotherapy treatment is integrated into the care plan.
