JustPhysio are looking for a Band 6 Rotational Physiotherapist to join our clients team based in London.

You will be required -
1.To work closely with Senior Acute Physiotherapists and other team members to establish and promote the delivery of high-quality treatment, including implementing agreed initiatives and quality assurance measures.
2.To take on a full clinical workload and provide high quality treatment to patients with Acute based disorders on wards and in the intensive care unit.
3.To work as an effective member of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams and to actively promote the Inpatient Physiotherapy programme.
4.To undertake other duties at the request of the Head of Acute Therapies.
5.Rotations are broadly cardiothoracics (including ITU), orthopaedics, and medical/surgical (including ITU)

The post holder will be responsible for providing treatment for patients with a variety of acute presentations. This service will be provided within the context of a multidisciplinary acute therapy team. The post holder may be asked to provide Physiotherapy service to patients with acute conditions in other areas of the Hospital, depending on changing levels of need. This post holder will be required to participate in the On-call and weekend rotas.

Key Responsibilities -
1.To provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment for each patient.
2.To plan and implement treatment using a problem orientated goal planning system
3.To maintain accurate, up to date and concise treatment records detailing individual patients' treatment plans and progress using the Physiotherapy Service documentation system and adhere to the guidelines and standards recommended by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
4.To ensure the patient, their family and carers are involved in the planning and delivery of their own care programme.
5.To work closely with the multidisciplinary teams to ensure that an agreed care plan and patient centered goals are set and that the outcome of intervention is monitored.
6.To attend relevant case conferences, goal setting meetings, hand-over sessions and teaching sessions.
7.To be responsible, together with the multidisciplinary team, for the discharge report, arrangements, liaison with external agencies and communication of pertinent information to the appropriate people concerned on discharge or transfer of a patient.
8.To support and maintain open channels of communication at all times with the Head of Acute Therapies and with other members of the Physiotherapy Department and Multidisciplinary team.
9.To work closely with members of the Physiotherapy Services at all times to ensure that quality, activity and resource targets are met.
10.To supervise unqualified staff working within the Physiotherapy service of the Inpatient Physiotherapy service as requested by the Head of Acute Therapies
11.To participate in professional support, teaching and development of staff
12.To keep up-to date with current theory and practice in the field of physiotherapy and ensure that the treatment offered is based on best clinical practice and research.
13.To ensure that correct recording of staff time statistics, charges and patient notes are performed daily
14.To ensure that patients are informed of the current procedure regarding the purchase of equipment.
