Band 6 Physiotherapist

All employees have a responsibility to support operations of the company by delivering systems and identifying areas for improvement.
*Contribute to the ethos of the company - to deliver a complete professional service from first enquiry to patient discharge.
*Deal with customers in person, on the phone and by email, maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment - be the face and voice of the clinic, maintaining high standards of personal and professional presentation at all times.
*Arrange and complete appointments on the diary system and anticipate and communicate cover requirements, using systematic and efficient diary management.
*To maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic records on TM3 in line with CSP and professional standards.
*To submit paperwork (notes and reports) on time meeting SLA's.
*Liaise with Insurance Companies over payments and patient queries
*Be familiar with Insurance Company reporting procedures
*Understand patient and practitioner confidentiality and practice this
*Additional duties to assist with the smooth day to day running as directed by the Management.
*To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work, ensuring a high standard of clinical care for patients under your management.
*To accept clinical responsibility as an autonomous practitioner for a designated caseload of patients, and organise this efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
*To undertake the assessment and clinical diagnosis of patients using investigative and analytical skills; formulating an individual management and/or treatment programme using clinical reasoning and a range of treatment skills.
*To assess patients understanding of treatment proposals and their capacity to give informed consent, and working within the legal framework when patients lack capacity to give consent to treatment.
*To undertake the continuous assessment and evaluation of the treatment programmes and modify them according to the patient's needs.
*To independently and with senior staff clinical supervision where necessary, make the decision to discharge patients from physiotherapy treatment.
*To assess and manage clinical risk within own patient caseload to ensure your own and patients' safety.
*To utilise a range of communication skills in order to be able to overcome barriers to communication, e.g. language, learning disability, anxiety, anger, and to deal effectively with sensitive or contentious issues.
*To communicate assessment and treatment outcomes appropriately to physiotherapy colleagues, medical staff, social care and other professionals in the form of letters and reports.
*To be aware of, and comply with, organisational policies and procedures and to be involved in reviewing and up-dating as appropriate. Time saving/efficiency improvements are welcomed and contribute to PM.
*To be responsible for the safe and competent use of all equipment used and responsible for the issuing of appliances and aids, ensuring they is safe and fit for purpose prior to use.
*Liaise with management to assist with and contribute to projects as directed
*To maintain own continuing professional development and develop current knowledge of evidenced based practise by active involvement in the appraisal process, clinical supervision, in- service training, reflective practice and the preparation and presentation of a project; incorporating new knowledge and skills into everyday practice as appropriate.
*To achieve and maintain a competent level of IT skills appropriate to MSK Out-Patients e.g. use of Therapy Software Systems, Electronic Patient Records
*To collect data and statistics as directed
*To demonstrate high level of manual handling skills e.g. positioning and transferring patients, walking aids with moderate physical effort throughout the day.
