Our client in Warwickshire is looking for a Physiotherapist for their Team Lead position
Team Lead role
37.5 hours per week
Salary - dependent on experience
The Physiotherapy Team Leader will be responsible for providing a highly specialised Physiotherapy service to a complex caseload of residents with neurological conditions . The Team Leader will act as a role model for clinical and professional leadership and will ensure that high standards are achieved to provide the best evidence based practice for all residents. Reporting to: Therapy Lead
Principal duties and responsibilities:
1.Working closely with the Therapy Lead on the planning, development and evaluation of the Physiotherapy service within a multidisciplinary team .
2.Taking an active role in the development of other staff members/students to continually improve practice of the service as a whole;
3.Providing clinical supervision and appraisals to Physiotherapists and ensuring all Therapy Assistants have supervision and appraisals;
4.Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work, this includes clinical, managerial and professional duties;
5.Assisting the Therapy Lead with the recruitment of staff and support with development of staff members currently working within the service;
6.Leading the Physiotherapy team with the day to day service, managing annual leave, staff absence, to ensure the service is safe and efficient;
7.Taking a lead role with support from the Therapy Lead in the organisation of neurological physiotherapy provided .
8.Prioritising and delegating caseloads to other Physiotherapists depending on their experience and support with complex situations;
9.Developing working guidelines and protocols with the Therapy Lead in accordance with National and our client's policies;
10.Being part of a team developing policies and protocols to ensure safe practice.
11.Identifying and utilising evidence based outcome measures appropriate for residents.
12.Completing clinical audits of the service to ensure an effective, efficient service is being delivered;
13.Deputising when appropriate for the Therapy Lead or other team leads within the Therapy Department;
14.Providing education to the multidisciplinary team to ensure best practice across all disciplines;
15.Prioritising workload through demonstration of high level of understanding of clinical needs and risks to individuals to ensure residents psychological, social and physical needs are met;
16.Communicating effectively and sensitively with residents, family, and carer's members of the clinical team and therapy services;
17.Effectively communicate complex information to residents and family members regarding occupational therapy interventions;
18.Supporting residents with discharge home and have effective communication with external agencies to ensure the process is fluid;
19.Continuing and developing relationships with the wider services such as local NHS provisions;
20.Maintaining your own continuous development professional practice, participate in performance and development reviews;
21.Ensure high standards of documentation and clinical record keeping as well as monitoring the standards of others; and
22.Completing all mandatory training.
