Our client is looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join their team.
Our client is a unique charity nursing home specialising in caring for residents with complex neurological illness or physical disabilities.
Their residents have neuro disabilities including spinal injury, acquired brain injury, stroke, MS and parkinsons disease.
You will be required-

1.Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner
2.To be professionally and legally accountable for a designated caseload and to decide priorities for your own work area, balancing other resident related and professional demands
3.To manage clinical risk within own caseload
4. To undertake the comprehensive assessment and accurate diagnosis of residents' including those with a complex presentation, using investigative, palpatory, Analytical and clinical reasoning skills.
5.To undertake physical treatment techniques utilizing highly developed manual skills where appropriate
6.To formulate individualized clinical management programmes, utilizing a wide range of treatment skills and options to plan a specialized programme of care.
7.To provide spontaneous and planned advice, teaching and instruction to relatives, carers, other disciplines and agencies to promote understanding of the aims of physiotherapy and to ensure continuation of the treatment programme.
8.To participate in multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team meetings and case reviews to support the co-ordination of resident care. This may include the review of resident progress and discharge planning.
9.Support residents in understanding the ageing process and how it affects their health and lifestyle. Support residents to maximize their independence and create the environment which supports their physical and mental well-being and ensure that all residents are treated with dignity
10.To have a clear awareness of and a commitment to, learn and retain basic
anatomical knowledge, correct use of equipment and a good understanding of treatment being given to ensure the safety of the resident.
11.To observe general behaviour, ability and response of residents during the treatment sessions and accurate recording of the information and report to the appropriate Physiotherapist when required to do so.
12.To act as a member of the multidisciplinary team, sharing and disseminating information with relevant team members. To liaise with outside agencies under the direction of therapists.
13.Participation and contribution in resident pre-admission, progress reviews and discharge planning
14.To be aware of and adhere to relevant Health and Safety at work regulations.
