Our client in London is looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join their team
The Physiotherapist will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, to meet the needs of a wide variety of patients referred to our client , ensuring the highest possible standards of practice.
Patients may be referred to our client for HIV related rehabilitation or homeless step down respite and rehabilitation
Their clients have a mixture of orthopaedic/MSK rehabilitation needs and also regular admissions for clients with either neuro-rehabilitation and/or respiratory care. There may be occasional need to care for complex clients with tracheostomies who require suctioning and clearance techniques.
You will be required To support (in conjunction with the PT Team Leader), ward staff, the PT volunteers and therapy assistant.
You will be required -
To deliver a high standard of service to all patients referred to both inpatient and Day Therapy teams, working under supervision of the Lead Physiotherapist
Use clinical judgement to select appropriate assessment tools, methods, techniques and equipment from wide knowledge base in line with individual patient needs and wishes and refer patients onwards if necessary, liaising with other agencies if required
To undertake a clinical caseload autonomously to a high professional standard, using knowledge and skills from theoretical and practical experience
To assess patients' understanding of assessment and gain valid informed consent and work within a legal framework with all clients, including those who lack the capacity to consent to treatment
