Job Summary
As an advanced practitioner you will be reporting to the Manager of the northwest, as an MSK Advanced Physiotherapy Service Lead, you will initially work as part of the mobilisation team and be responsible and accountable for the design and implementation of the Advanced Physiotherapy component of the Community Integrated MSK service.

Following successful implementation, you will lead the day-to-day clinical service delivery of the Advanced Physiotherapy service - to include Single Point of Access clinical triage and MCATs Clinics - as well as providing the clinical training and support to your Band 7/8/Extended Scope Physiotherapist colleagues working on this service.

You will be part of an exciting opportunity to clinically lead part of a newly commissioned service where you will be involved with the initial clinical pathways design in collaboration with a highly specialised multidisciplinary team, consisting of Consultant Rheumatologists, GPSI in pain management, nurse specialists, occupational therapists and other physiotherapists.

Duties and Responsibilities:
*To abide by HCPC and CSP Codes of Professional Conduct, and work in line with all areas of CSP Core Standards of Practice, as well as companies policies and procedural framework.

*To work as an autonomous practitioner in providing and delivering exceptional neuromuscuoloskeletal physiotherapy assessments and treatment plans to your own designated clinical caseload of patients presenting with various complex conditions, and having the flexibility to travel to any site within the CCG boundaries to assess / treat ad-hoc challenging patients.

*To work with senior clinical and operational management to design clinical pathways to ensure the patient journey as smooth and effective as possible. This is to include implementing key features such as Single Point of Access clinical pathways, MCATs clinical design, shared decision making, injection therapy and medicines management. You will have overall responsibility for referrals into and out of the Single Point of Access and MCATs clinics.

* To act independently to assess, analyse and provide a clinical diagnosis for individual patients to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention, and act independently to plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress patient care to maximise rehabilitation potential.

Requirements:
*Full HCPC membership (not temporary) is essential and must be maintained throughout the duration of the contract.
*Full CSP Membership (not student or associate) is essential, and must be maintained throughout the duration of the contract.
*You must show proof of continued professional development which evidences the skills / competencies in line with the key skills framework.
*A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check is essential.
*Experience designing and leading MSK Advanced Physiotherapist services in the NHS is essential
*Experience leading and training Extended Scope Practitioners is essential
