The Physiotherapy UK 2017 conference and trade exhibition is taking place in Birmingham this weekend. A team from JustPhysio will be there and we're very excited to meet you all!
Beginning on Friday November 10th and running until Saturday November 11th, Physiotherapy UK will be held at Birmingham's International Convention Centre, with the themes for this year's event including 'evidence matters', 'our digital movement', 'your service, your improvement' and 'LEAD: Leadership exploration, advocacy and development'.
The event also aims to cement the ideas outlined in Physiotherapy UK's 2017-20 corporate plan, which are to empower people to live long, independent lives, to position the profession at the leading edge of transforming care and to champion the fact that physiotherapy can be both clinically and cost-effective.
This year, the founders' lecture will be delivered by Professor Sir Muir Gray, chief knowledge officer at the NHS, who recently told Frontline magazine: "Physiotherapy staff need to become a knowledge business."
Physiotherapy UK 2017's packed programme also includes a wide range of talks and workshops spanning topics from digital policies to musculoskeletal therapies and using data to improve services.
In addition, there'll be a poster competition sponsored by Elsevier, the opportunity to try out 'leadership speed dating' and the annual general meeting of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) will also be taking place.
There will be plenty of networking opportunities too, with both delegates and exhibitors representing the industry from across the country.
After the day's events are over, attendees can enjoy a post-conference dinner at the Botanical Gardens, Birmingham. And if you're an associate member of the CSP, you'll get to attend the event for free.
Do come and say hello to the JustPhysio team - you'll find us over on stand 65.
