Physiotherapy jobs to grow thanks to Freedom Back Clinics?
Thursday 9th September 2010
The number of physiotherapy jobs in the UK could increase if expansion plans from Freedom Back Clinics come to fruition.
It has emerged that the Leeds-based company has signed leases for properties in London's Canary Wharf and Cross Street in Manchester, a move that will see 16 positions created, the Yorkshire Post reports.
Launched by entrepreneurs David Hood and Andrew Thirkill in 2009, the organisation intends to create a branded network of 40 specialist osteopath, physiotherapy and chiropractor offices across the UK in the next five years.
Chief executive Diane McKerracher described this development as a milestone in the expansion of the company.
It is expected that the London and Manchester branches will be fitted out in October and November, with a view to treating patients by December.
Conditions to be administered to will include spinal pain, whiplash, sports injuries, stress, insomnia, sciatica, trapped nerves, postnatal back pain and headaches, among others.
