Physiotherapy job holders at UK nursery receive more funding
Thursday 9th September 2010
People with physiotherapy jobs and others at the Lemarie Centre in Watford are to be able to continue with their good work thanks to funding from the National Lottery of more than £100,000.
Playskill - a playgroup for youngsters with special physical needs - offers pre-nursery children occupational, language and speech therapy, as well as physiotherapy, the Watford Observer reports.
This grant has now been secured for the coming five years and will be put towards helping the facility improve the lives of its kids.
"It's pretty amazing news. At the moment with the climate as it is, we're just delighted we have secured that funding," Andrea Clarke - who set up the centre four years ago - remarked.
A parents' breakfast is being held tomorrow (September 10th), with guest speakers Julie Crossley of Carers in Hertfordshire (CIH) and patient carer involvement worker Maria Kiely in attendance, discussing what CIH can provide in terms of support information and courses.
