Physiotherapist to help walking group
Friday 9th July 2010
A walking group in Cornwall is to receive assistance from a physiotherapist, it has been revealed.
According to a report in the Falmouth Penryn Packet, Breathe Falmouth will get advice from the medical professional.
Members of the group, which is based at Penryn Rugby Club, will use local authority money to pay for the physiotherapist.
The expert will attend sessions to check people are exercising correctly.
Run for people with breathing difficulties, Breathe Falmouth meets regularly and aims to provide activities for people who suffer respiratory problems.
Recently, the Wirral Times noted that manager of Tranmere Rovers Les Parry had appointed a new physiotherapist to the club.
Steve Walker, who played football himself until an injury stopped him, has taken up the role.
He revealed he has a similar work ethic to his new boss, saying: "I think you have to introduce a fun element into any kind of rehabilitation or therapy with players."
