Physiotherapy is a "rewarding" career

A career in physiotherapy can be rewarding, a medical professional operating in the field has said.
NHS physiotherapist Elaine Stephenson claimed it is possible to make a significant impact on the lives of patients, north-east paper the Evening Chronicle reports.
She is leader of domiciliary physiotherapy in Newcastle and is based in a modern purpose-built NHS centre in Kenton.
The expert commented: "It is a very rewarding job. Being able to provide hopefully a timely service - that is what we are aiming to do all the time."
Working in the community gives people who perform the role a great sense of achievement, she added.
Her department is responsible for the provision of full physiotherapy assessment and treatment for people in their own properties, as well as residential and nursing homes.
Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust describes itself as one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK and claims to offer a wider range of specialist services than any other.
