Scottish hospital to undergo £10m refurbishment

Physiotherapy jobs may be created in Scotland in the near future, as a £10 million refurbishment of Adamson Hospital has been approved.
The site in Cupar is to provide a range of services for local residents, with physiotherapy, X-ray and ultrasound and minor injury treatment among them.
Enhanced GP services will also be on offer at the "one-stop shop", which will be included as part of the modernisation efforts at the facility.
Scottish public health minister Shona Robison said the move will allow a "broad mix" of services to be delivered once the work is completed.
"This exciting and much anticipated project will significantly enhance local healthcare and give the people of Cupar and north-east Fife a hospital to be proud of," she added.
Last month, the Scottish government announced that almost £300 million was saved through NHS efficiency measures in 2008-09, with all of this being reinvested in front-line services.
