New medical jobs may created in Flintshire
Thursday 10th September 2009
A number of new medical jobs may be created in Flintshire, it has emerged.
According to reports in local paper the Evening Leader, a decision in favour of creating a health centre in the area was made during a meeting between Flintshire Local Health Board officials and members of the town council.
The facility will be housed on the site of the former Belmont Special School and some medical professionals will be relocated from the Marches, Roseneath and the Bradleys medical practices to the new centre.
Following the approval of the plans, an artist's impression of the site was released by HPC Wales.
The firm is also to hold an open day next week to provide residents with the opportunity to discover more about the facility.
Last month, the Ilkley Gazette reported that a new medical centre to be constructed in Addingham is to offer physiotherapy services, among other things.
