New medical centre to offer physiotherapy services
Tuesday 11th August 2009
A new medical centre in Addingham is to offer physiotherapy services, it has emerged.
During a recent meeting, Dr Adil Suleman delivered a presentation concerning the facility, pointing out that it will provide local people with a range of healthcare provisions, the Ilkley Gazette reports.
He gave the talk in preparation for the opening of the centre, which is due to take place on August 17th.
As well as physiotherapists, podiatrists will work at the new surgery and staff were expected to begin moving in last week.
Two GPs are transferring to the building this month. However, there is also space for more doctors to set up in the facility.
In preparation for the opening of the centre, Addingham Civic Society was conducting limited-place guided tours.
Formed in 1978, the Addingham Civic Society is a registered charity and describes itself as a "respected voice" for residents in the area.
