A physiotherapist has been successful in his bid to secure funding to enable him to expand his network of private clinics.
Dave Roberts has opened one clinic in Stockport and hopes to establish two more over the next 18 months, Manchester Evening News reports.
The medical professional, who is also head physiotherapist at Lancashire Cricket Club, already has clinics in Old Trafford, Chadderton, Bolton and Middleton.
As well as employing physiotherapists, Mr Roberts has a number of podiatrists in his workforce.
Managing director of his clinics Phil Collins said: "The demand for physiotherapy services has increased across all our sites as people become more aware of the benefits of a first-class treatment regime."
Consequently, the business is planning to make its services more accessible across the Greater Manchester area, he added.
Recently, the Boston Standard reported that fellow physiotherapist Lee Taylor is running a scheme over the summer designed to encourage youngsters to get fit.
