A new medical centre has been opened in North Lanarkshire, it has emerged.
The facility, which is described as state-of-the-art, cost £4.5 million to construct, the BBC reports.
It is the first of eight new centres being built across the region in an upgrade programme being overseen by NHS Lanarkshire - which provides healthcare services to a population of around 553,000.
Labour MSP Michael McMahon attended the official opening ceremony.
The politician described the development as a "wonderful facility", adding that it was "badly needed" by people in the area.
Meanwhile, NHS Lanarkshire chairman Ken Corsar said: "This new clinic will help NHS Lanarkshire provide the people of Bellshill with the highest standard of care."
Among the services it offers are podiatry, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy and mental health treatment.
Other medical centres are due to be constructed in a range of locations, including Airdrie, Coatbridge, Carluke and Hamilton.
