Physiotherapist launches new advice service

A UK-based physiotherapist has launched a new advice service, it has emerged.
Jane Hodgson, who teaches the medical discipline to university students, began the Physiobench project as a means of providing information to people over the internet.
According to the expert, the web is a good "hands-off" means of providing people with exercise-based physiotherapy, the Huddersfield Examiner reports.
She said: "I believe this type of service will be commonplace in a few years time.
"There are a lot of people surfing the net for general advice who want to and can self-manage their injury, but also need access to a physio to provide some specialist advice."
Recently, Crossgates Today reported a new technique being employed by physiotherapists at Seacroft Hospital.
The publication revealed that staff at the centre are using Nintendo Wii consoles to help patients who have been fitted with prosthetic limbs.
David Crossland, who has regular physiotherapy at Seacroft, described the treatment as "marvellous".
