Physiotherapist to expand business

A physiotherapist from Skipton has revealed that he is planning to expand his business.
Richard Atkinson founded Worth Healing Centre around 15 years ago and is now looking to diversify and expand, the Bradford Telegraph Argus reports.
He said: "We use both orthodox and complementary tailor-made treatments that have been scientifically and clinically tested.
"I am not aware of anyone else in the area offering this sort of approach to the full health picture. It is the next step beyond standard therapies."
Meanwhile, physiotherapists at Seacroft Hospital recently began using Nintendo Wii consoles as therapy for patients who have been fitted with prosthetic limbs, Crossgates Today reported.
David Crossland, who is a patient at Seacroft and has regular physiotherapy, described the treatment as "marvellous".
The Wii's pressure sensitive board assesses where a patient's centre of gravity lies and thus enables them to balance better, according to staff at the centre.
