Physiotherapist reports increase in business

In news which may be welcomed by people seeking physiotherapy jobs, an industry practitioner has reported an increase in the number of people seeking her services.

According to Natasha Price, managing director of Central Health, which was established in 1992 and is located on Chancery Lane in London, business is getting increasingly brisk.

Speaking to the Financial Times (FT), the physiotherapist said that an increase in pressure at work may be partly behind the rise in client interest.

She said: "Physiotherapy and mental health treatments are fairly recession-proof. But we seem to have got more people turning up now because they are so stressed at work."

According to the FT, Central Health - which also has clinics situated in St John's Wood, Vauxhall and Roehampton - currently employs 40 physiotherapists.

One in ten of its patients pay for treatments using private funds, while 90 per cent of them pay through their employer's private health insurance.
