A number of physiotherapists were recently part of a medical team that was handed a national award.
Felixstowe Community Hospital, which is run by Suffolk Primary Care Trust, was picked out for the accolade thanks to the quality of its children's centre, the Ipswich Evening Star reports.
Under a scheme implemented by the hospital, a child-friendly area in the minor injuries unit was created as part of a £1.76 million refurbishment of the hospital, people with physiotherapy jobs may be interested to discover.
"We've had really good feedback on the centre so far, as it is light and bright and helps children coming into the hospital feel more at ease," stated Rachael Osborne, junior sister in the minor injuries unit at Felixstowe Hospital.
The medical centre features a team of physiotherapists, nurses and occupational therapists.
Recently, it was announced that hospitals across the UK which fail to meet specified hygiene standards could be fined up to £50,000 in a move to improve the cleanliness of such institutions.
